2025 Rules. What does this mean to me?

For 2025 NKA has chosen to align itself with AKRA on the cylinder head rules. AKRA has also decided to accept the camshaft rules of NKA. As of this writing, AKRA has decided to allow the billet rod, and from deeply inside sources, it appears NKA will follow suit. WKA will tag along with this as they have no choice to do otherwise. This has also been confirmed privately.

What does this mean? If you are NKA, you will want to take advantage of the head rules. Porting, or shall I say, a proper port job will add .3-.5 hp depending on the engine. If you are AKRA, if you have a JRPW head, you are good from a cylinder head standpoint, if you have someone else head, you’re still at a disadvantage. We can correct that problem.

AKRA engines and camshafts. Cam selection at JRPW has, and always will be determined by taking into account all aspects. We do not do cookie cutter engines. Track layout, rpm drop, kart weight all factor into our decisions. Just because the rules say you can don’t mean that’s best. You are allowed to run a restrictor plate in the unrestricted classes, but of obvious reasons you shouldn’t. Same thing with cam selection. We have tested, tested, and tested more, and are beyond confident in our decisions.

Billet rods. Your choice. I personally don’t think the billet rod is necessary. Most rod failures are from other factors, not necessarily rpm related. It is weighs a bit more, not a lot, but heavier. Cost is around $80. We have plenty, we won’t run out. Up to you.

End of the day, we are prepared and ready to meet any possible engine need you have, as well as answer all your questions. Contact us at 706-863-1206

Winning beats losing. Choose to win. Choose JRPW
